Сюжет

Из элитной английской школы-интерната «Обитель Анубисa» загадочно пропадает одна из учениц — Джой Мерсер. В этот же день по стипендии приезжает новая ученица из Америки, Нина Мартин. Personality

Anubis is described as being in a good mood once every eon or so and in accordance with that is somewhat moody. The exception to this is when he is in the presence of Sadie Kane, with whom he falls in love. He occasionally becomes mildly flustered if he speaks without thinking, such as when he let slip to Sadie that he knew her mother, Ruby Kane.

Despite being about five thousand years old, Anubis claims he feels young and is referred to by both Shu and Ruby Kane as being young, with Shu saying that he’s actually a child in god standards. As a result, he has the appearance and personality of a teenager (presumably the age he actually is in god standards).

He has a tendency to tilt his head when curious or confused, seeming rather dog-like. He also is out of touch with modern rituals, so when he asks Sadie if she is married, he appears to be quite confused by her reaction. When he is merged with Walt, the new being that results is shown to keep this trait.

Anubis grows to love Sadie Kane deeply to the point that he and Walt shared jealousy at first and then worked together to find a way for them to be together with her. His affection for Sadie is such that he dances with her at her school dance but is taken away by Shu and forbidden from seeing her again as he’s growing too close to her. Before Shu appears, he admits that this will likely cause trouble and he won’t get to see her again, but finds it worth it. At that time he informs her of the nature of the sheut, a forbidden topic between gods and mortals to give her the best chance of destroying Apophis as he doesn’t want her to die.

However, this doesn’t stop his plans to take Walt as a host to be with her, defying the rules again to give Walt the chance to enact their plan and comforting Sadie as he sacrifices himself to save Bes. When Anubis appears and the two put their plan into action, Anubis makes his motivation clear when he tells Walt that he can’t leave Sadie anymore than Walt could. Once he merges with Walt, he shows a fierce protectiveness over her, swearing with Walt to always protect her and showing this during the battle in the Hall of Ages to the point that he kills Sarah Jacobi just because she tried to harm Sadie.

This causes Sadie to realize that anyone trying to harm her will suffer his full wrath and Walt isn’t going to hold him back from doing it either. After merging with Walt, he and Walt take on traits of each other as they become one being though his love for Sadie is only increased by this.

As a result of never having taken on a host before and never having lived a mortal life, Anubis doesn’t know or understand much about human customs, though his relationship with Sadie helps him with that. Taking Walt as a host and living a mortal life allows Anubis to broaden his personality and fully embrace his love for Sadie without consequences or interference from the other gods.

Despite not being a warrior as he told Sadie when they first met in person, he is a competent fighter when need be. During the battle in the Hall of Ages, he and Walt were able to take down many enemy magicians and Anubis didn’t hesitate to kill Sarah Jacobi for trying to harm Sadie showing that he can be ruthless if need be.

Anubis is fond of New Orleans, particularly its way of sending off the deceased. Because of this, while he is in charge of the Hall of Judgment, a New Orleans graveyard is linked to it.

Производство пилотного эпизода началось в августе 2009 года, но с другим составом и другим названием, чем будущий сериал. У главных героев Выпускной, Мара становится валедокторианом. Но вот незадача — новые студенты — София, Декстер, Эрин и Кэсси приехали раньше срока.

Во время похода в музей Эдди, Декстер и кто-то там узнают о пробирном камне Ра. София хочет его заполучить. Директор музея рассказывает им про этот камень, а затем выгоняет их в главный зал. София выкрала «Эталон Ра» и положила его в сумку Эдди. Уже по возвращении в Обитель Виктор находит его и конфискует. Эдди, очевидно, не знает, откуда у него оказался экспонат. Внезапно в доме по неизвестным причинам выключается свет. София идёт к кабинету Виктора и крадёт камень, который тот спрятал в сейф.

Эдди, Патрисия и КейТи догадались, что кто-то нашёл эталон. Они заметили, как София спускается с ним. Они пытаются её остановить, но безуспешно: она сбежала в лес. Эдди подходит к пирамиде и прикасается к ней, забирает всю её энергию и уничтожает. Он падает в обморок. Все к нему подбегают, считая, что он умер, но внезапно он приходит в себя. Виктор объясняет, что Осириан может умереть, но Эдди будет жить, просто его способности исчезли. София превратилась в каменную статую.

Проходит выпускной, Виктор разговаривает со Свитом о том, что он покинет Обитель Анубиса, так как должен хранить камень, ведь это «Его судьба». Обитатели Обители Анубиса провожают Виктора и идут на выпускной. В конце фильма Фабиан и Мара целуются.

Patricia Williamson

Patricia and Piper

Piper is Patricia’s identical twin sister. She and Patricia are initially at odds with each other. Piper explains that she abandoned her school trip to Milan because she missed Patricia and wanted to see her in England. She and Patricia learn that each one of them is jealous of the other. Piper reveals that her school sets very high expectations and she is afraid of failing. Patricia encourages her to «dare to fail» if she wants to be more like her. They manage to reconcile before Piper returns to the music academy. (See: Piptricia)

Joy Mercer

Piper has met Joy more than once. Joy is the only one who recognizes her when Piper arrives at Anubis House. She excitedly greets her by name when she steps inside. This is likely due to the fact that Patricia and Joy are best friends, so Joy has probably met Patricia’s family while staying at her house. Joy assists Patricia with keeping Piper a secret. She seems to really like her.

Alfie Lewis

Piper is very polite toward Alfie. She readily accepts when he offers to wash her laundry for her. They interact a few times, and Alfie begins to develop feelings for her, even though he believes she is Patricia. It is evident that Piper has similar feelings for Alfie. When Patricia asks her to go on a date with Eddie, Piper begins to say, «But I like…» (as if she is about to mention Alfie). Patricia interrupts her and says, «To help out my favorite twin, yeah.» Alfie begins to feel more comfortable with Piper once he learns that she is not her sister. He tries to play a card trick on her, but it does not work. Alfie asks if Piper has the 10 of hearts, but she does not have it. She later discovers it hidden inside the piano when she starts to practice. Before she leaves, she shows Alfie the card and promptly kisses him on the cheek. Eddie Miller

Piper Williamson

Eddie kisses Piper, believing she is Patricia. Piper is confused about why he kissed her because she had not been introduced to him. Later, Piper poses as Patricia and goes on a date with Eddie. Before Eddie can kiss Piper, Patricia shows herself and reveals the truth about Piper. Eddie learns to distinguish between Patricia and Piper after he realizes that they are twin sisters. In the third season, Eddie contacts Piper because Patricia is unable to recall a childhood rhyme/lullaby. Piper recites it to him just as Patricia enters the room and realizes that the two are video-calling. Eddie explains that he and Piper are planning a surprise birthday party for Patricia, and she believes him. (See Piddie)

Mr. Sweet

Mr. Sweet meets Piper under the impression that she is Patricia. He believes she is a well-rounded girl who is suited for his son, Eddie. Mr. Sweet gets in touch with Piper’s parents after he learns that she and Patricia are sisters. They mutually agree that Piper should stay at the school for a while, if that is what she wanted. Mr. Sweet genuinely cared for Piper and wanted her to be safe as well as happy, just like his own students.

Appearance

In his jackal form, Anubis is sleek, black, and graceful and wears a golden collar. Sadie describes this form as ‘cute’. In his «natural» human form, Anubis is about sixteen and possesses a pale complexion, tousled black hair, and warm, melting brown eyes. He is described as being very good-looking and tall, and even impressed Drew, a daughter of Aphrodite. He wears black jeans, combat boots, a ripped T-shirt, a gold chain, and a black leather biker jacket. His ears stick up a bit, exactly like a jackal’s (which Sadie finds cute).

In The Throne of Fire, Sadie sees Anubis talking to Walt. He was wearing a black kilt, with a ruby collar. She says she expected him to look skinny shirtless («not that I imagined that a lot, mind you»), but finds he has quite a lot of muscle and looks good; she wonders if there is a good gym in the Land of the Dead. According to Sadie, even though he is a death god, his lips are not cold. 

Anubis also possesses a jackal-headed form and initially appeared this way to Bast and Carter. Like all gods, his true, divine form is too intense for humans to see.  

Anubis looks similar to Nico di Angelo, a Greek demigod son of Hades from the Camp Half-Blood series.

Victor Rodenmaar Jr.

Vera with Victor.

Vera pretended to like Victor in order to get information out of him for The Collector (Rufus). However, it is possible that she started to like him, but Rufus began to threaten Vera with death if he didn’t get the Mask of Anubis. Vera teamed up with Victor in order to get the Mask of Anubis for the Collector (Rufus), although Victor found out about Vera’s betrayal in the season finale. Both of them have stuffed animals; Victor’s is Corbierre the raven, Vera’s is Dolores the dog. (See Victera)

Jasper Choudhary

(2012-present; blackmailed him)

Vera and Jasper

Vera is using Jasper to get information for «The Collector». When Jasper tries to stand up to her, she threatens Fabian’s safety, and since Jasper is Fabian’s godfather, he only wants to protect him. Vera doesn’t blackmail him anymore since he found out who The Collector is, which is Rufus.

Trudy Rehmann

(2012-present; enemies)

Vera and Trudy don’t go well with each other. The two have a bake off during the Egyptian exhibition where Vera cheated by buying a chocolate cake and won. Trudy has also seemed to be suspicious of Vera’s actions throughout the episodes. Vera gave Trudy over to The Collector to kidnap her because Trudy figured out her theft of an Ox Bell that belonged to the exhibit, Treasures of Egypt. Vera kidnaps Trudy so that Trudy would’t tell anyone. She was taken to the barn owned by Rufus Zeno in the first season when he kidnaps Patricia. Later in the barn scenes she is visited by Zeno and is given food rations. On the brink of survival, her pleas to be set free fail. Found by the Sibunas and Jerome, Trudy was rescued, but the barn door fell down because Alfie crashed a mini-tractor, giving her amnesia and crushing The Dollhouse. This made Nina and Sibuna’s hope for finding the mask drop into despair. Vera made sure Trudy wouldn’t get her memory back. The last memory Trudy said she had was Vera winning the bake off. Vera felt «bad» about stealing her memory so she said Trudy won. This is the only time in the season she is seen caring for someone other than herself.

Sibuna

(2012-present; enemies)

She knows that Sibuna is up to something. She sets up the students: she had the key and she opened the door, and told Victor they were in the cellar. She also suggests to Victor that the office of Robert Frobisher-Smythe should be left undisturbed, so Sibuna will not know that they went exploring in the hidden office. She and Victor work hard to complete the tasks before the Sibunas. She steals the Ox Bell from the exhibit to help them finish a task faster, and attempts to have Fabian caught with the stolen artifact so they could get into trouble and get Sibuna out of her and Victor’s way. Vera doesn’t know that Sibuna has already finished the reflectors task until she eavesdrops on Sibuna. She comes up with the plan to brainwash Sibuna using an Egyptian memory box in order to use them as pawns and play the game the way Victor wants, though she fails because Alfie and Amber heard about her plan and Sibuna fooled her into thinking they were what they needed: pawns.

Mara Jaffray

(2012-present; enemies)

She saw Mara go into her room and threatened her if she or any of the other Anubis House residents go into her room again, she will do something to them. Mara also had written a newspaper article about Vera saying that she wasn’t really a housemother. They went to court at school and Vera won. That resulted into Mara getting expelled. Since Mara didn’t get expelled, she had to apologize to Vera via the school website, even though what Mara wrote on the article was true.

Rufus Zeno

(Unknown-present; boss, possible crush)

Rufus hired her to infiltrate the school to sabotage both Victor and Sibuna in their searches for the Mask of Anubis. At first they seemed to be on friendly terms, until Vera failed in getting the Mask, which caused Rufus to start threatening her. She might like him, as seen in one scene where she expressed joy at spending their future together; however this remains unknown.
